Seamen’s Bank is proud to announce the promotions of seven employees to acknowledge their individual performance and their achievements within the Bank.
“I applaud this extremely knowledgeable and experienced group on their well-deserved promotions,” said Lori Meads, President and CEO of Seamen’s Bank. “They demonstrate the highest level of customer service and commitment to ensure our customers, employees, and community members receive a personal and supportive experience with local knowledge to help them thrive and grow.”
The promotions recently approved include:
Aime Bessette – Promoted to Vice President of Audit & Compliance. Aime will focus on the Bank’s relationships with its internal and external auditors, supporting the Bank’s overall risk profile. Her extensive experience in audit and compliance supports the additional responsibilities as the Bank’s Information Security Officer (ISO). Aime holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Joseph’s University and a master’s degree from New England College of Business. Aime currently serves on the board of the Wellfleet Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Committee.

Tina Cottrell – Promoted to Vice President of Talent & Culture. In her new elevated role, Tina will oversee the efficiencies, communication, and employee engagement across the bank. Tina will continue to broaden the Bank’s robust benefits programs and other initiatives to promote a culture of inclusiveness and advocacy. Tina has long been committed to community-based and non-profit organizations and those whose missions aim to serve at-risk youth.

Nicole Dutra - Promoted to Director of Commercial Loan Production. Nicole has supported the Commercial Lending area with the processing and management of the commercial loan portfolio. In her elevated role, Nicole will oversee the Commercial Loan Administration Specialist and manage audit preparation for the department. Nicole has a bachelor’s degree in Geography from Plymouth State University and volunteers for the Provincetown Swim for Life and the Nauset Warriors Booster Club.

Amy Wheeler – Promoted to Assistant Vice President of Loan Servicing. Amy has more than twenty years of banking experience and has been with Seamen’s Bank for over 16 years. Amy worked in our Eastham Office before joining the Loan Servicing department in 2016. Amy supervises a staff of three and most recently held the position of Director of Loan Servicing. Amy’s attention to detail has improved the department’s audits and provided a positive foundation for growth. A Truro native, Amy is a graduate of Provincetown High School and holds an associate’s degree from Chamberlayne Junior College.

Trina Brown - Promoted to Assistant Vice President of Quality Control. Trina Brown joined Seamen’s Bank in March of 2022, gaining more than two decades of bank management and customer service experience. In her new role as Assistant Vice President of Quality Control, Trina will continue to oversee the review process of all residential, commercial, and consumer loan files and supervise the support staff in this area. A native Cape Codder, Trina attended East Carolina University before returning to the Cape in 1997. She is a graduate of the New England School of Financial Studies and has previously served as a board member of both the Cape Cod Children’s Place and the Eastham Chamber of Commerce. Trina is also actively involved in the community and enjoys volunteering at the Annual Swim for Life.

Rosa Buttrick - Promoted to Assistant Vice President of Deposit Products and Services. Rosa has over two decades of banking experience, holding several roles, and joined the bank in October of 1990 as a teller at the Main Office. Rosa then moved on to be the Manager of the Shank Painter Office when it opened in 1992, and eventually moved to the Wellfleet Office and served as the Branch Manager and the Branch Administrator for the Bank. Rosa recently joined the Operations Department as the Director of Products and Services. Rosa is the Treasurer for the Fleet Fund (Wellfleet) and serves on the board of Elder Services of Cape Cod Money Management Committee.

Toni Anderson - Promoted to Director of Training and Development. Toni began her banking career in England in 1993, joining Seamen’s Bank with over two decades of banking experience. Toni earned her BA in Business, with a focus on Training and Development, from UMASS Amherst. In her new role as Training Manager, she will be responsible for the development and coordination of bank-wide training and development programs. Toni volunteers for the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts.
