Provincetown, MA – Seamen’s Bank is pleased to announce the promotions of Amy Wheeler to the position of Director of Loan Servicing, Carlo Caramanna to the position of Director of Residential Lending, Ross Sormani to the role of Senior Mortgage Originator, and Samantha Keller to the role of Mortgage Originator. “These expanded roles are well suited to these employees and together with their knowledge and expertise will further support the Residential Lending Team. As we continue to see the real estate market flourish their exemplary job performance is essential in providing outstanding assistance and expertise to customers”, said Lori Meads, President and CEO, Seamen’s Bank. “Their community connections and attention to detail will enhance the customer’s personal experience while they are looking for a home.”

Amy Wheeler is a Truro native and a 1984 graduate of Provincetown High School. She first joined Seamen’s Bank in 1991 and worked for 3 years in the loan department before leaving in 1994 to raise her family. Amy returned to Seamen’s Bank in 2013 as a Teller in the North Eastham Branch before rejoining the Residential Loan Department in 2016 as a Loan Servicing Representative. She soon became a Senior Loan Servicing Representative before being promoted to Loan Servicing Manager. In Amy’s elevated role as Director of Loan Servicing. she will oversee Loan Servicing as a new and separate department of the Bank. Amy enjoys spending time with her family and pets and loves to travel. She currently resides in South Dennis.

Carlo Caramanna joined the Seamen’s Bank Residential Lending Team as Mortgage Originator in February of 2020, bringing with him over two decades of banking experience. He was promoted that same year to Loan Processing Manager. In his new role as Director of Residential Lending, Carl will oversee mortgage originations, underwriting, processing, and closing functions, as well as overseeing the support staff in these areas. Carl moved to Boston shortly after graduating from The Florida State University, then relocated to Provincetown full time in 2012. Currently he resides in North Truro with longtime partner Jay, his nephew Chad, and their pooch – Bob. Carl is an active member of the local community and enjoys travel and spending time with family and friends.

Ross Sormani, a graduate of Bard College, began his banking career in 2001 after a successful career in Provincetown real estate. He joined Seamen’s Bank in 2010 as a mortgage specialist with expertise in assisting customers with obtaining their first homes and in construction lending. A resident of Provincetown for 27 years, Ross has served as the Treasurer of Provincetown Beautification Committee and a Member of the Board of the Provincetown Housing Authority. Ross speaks English, German, Italian, and French and is an avid naturalist and hiker.

Samantha Keller also joined Seamen’s Bank in 2020 and brings more than two decades of banking and loan origination experience to Seamen’s Bank. Sam worked for 12 years in California in the wholesale mortgage loan industry. Returning to the East Coast, Sam spent the next 10 years working in lending to the commercial field. Samantha resides in Provincetown with her wife of 24 years and a very spoiled standard poodle. She enjoys cooking, reading, nature, animals, and volunteering in our community.
