Provincetown, MA – Seamen’s Bank, headquartered on the Outer Cape in Provincetown, MA, is pleased to announce that Charles DeSimone III has joined its Senior Management team as Executive Vice President of Commercial Lending.
DeSimone brings with him more than 20 years of demonstrated commercial lending success with deep financial acumen.
“With expert knowledge of the commercial landscape combined with an understanding of the Cape’s unique local economy, Charlie will serve as an outstanding strategic partner at Seamen’s Bank,” explains Michael Silva, who is currently serving as the Bank’s Interim President/EVP/CFO. “His experience with SBA loans will allow the Bank to broaden our capacity to lend, and we are thrilled to have a commercial leader of Charlie’s caliber onboard.”
Prior to his arrival at Seamen’s Bank, DeSimone served as Executive Vice President/Director of Cape Cod Market at Bank Five, where he developed and managed more than $250MM in commercial loan relationships. Hospitality and commercial real estate are areas of expertise for DeSimone, as are government-backed SBA 504 loans and Mass Development enhancement programs.
DeSimone also previously served at Cape Cod Cooperative Bank as a Senior Vice President Relationship Manager, and earlier as a Senior Vice President – Commercial Loan Officer at Bank of Cape Cod. He has held vice presidencies at several other local banks.
Charlie has deep roots on the Cape, both professionally and personally. His children both attended Nauset Regional High School, and he is a seasoned local, who understands the financial needs of Cape businesses of every size.
