More than a restaurant,
more than a bank
Starting a business when many big banks weren’t lending, Rob Anderson and Loic Rossignon received the financing they needed from Seamen’s Bank. Since then, The Canteen has developed into an active year-round business and supporter of many local endeavors. Their growing success led to a growing staff which led them to make a significant investment in affordable housing for their employees.
According to Rob, “We want The Canteen to be a catalyst for change resulting in community that is vibrant in every season. Seamen’s understands that and has supported us every step of the way. We know and appreciate the employees in every department. Our plans to open a restaurant always included plans to become part of the Outer Cape community. In those efforts, Seamen’s is truly the ideal partner.”
