The Alice Foley House, providing residential
and outpatient support for People With Aids in Provincetown
|
As Cape Cod's oldest community
bank, Seamen's Bank understands the nuances of this seasonal Cape
Cod economy. Our full range of competitive home equity loans and
second mortgages is available with no closing costs and no applications
fees, letting you use the money for college, improvements, trips,
nearly anything you want (some restrictions may apply).
Highly regarded in the Commonwealth for our fiscal strength and
stability, we are able to respond quickly to the needs of our community.
Our business customers find that dealing with us is like dealing
with a friendly neighbor--we understand the local economy and can
help businesses function efficiently throughout the year. Our loan
officers quote competitive loan and mortgage rates and avoid a lot
of red tape.

The Annual Portuguese Festival, held the last
weekend in June, includes the traditional Blessing of the Fleet
ceremony |
With deep roots in the Outer
Cape community, we are proud to sponsor events such as the Annual
Portuguese Festival (a town-wide, week-long celebration of
the Portuguese heritage that flourished here in the 1800's and continues
today), Swim for Life (a swim across Provincetown Harbor to benefit
people living with AIDS and HIV), the PASG Auction (to raise money
for the Provincetown Aids Support Group.) We have been an active
participant in fundraising events benefiting local charities such
as Outer Cape Health Services, Lower Cape Outreach, the Provincetown
Art Association and Museum and the Visiting Nurses Association.
We are proud of our participation in the re-greening of Pilgrim's
First Landing Park, located at the West End Rotary near the Provincetown
Inn. Commemorating the first landing of the pilgrims, the refurbished
park was an integral part of the Town's 375th birthday celebrations.

The Provincetown Art Association and Museum |
Seamen's Bank was involved
in the planning of the park and continues to play a major role in
it's growth and upkeep.
With the addition of High School Scholarships and
donations to many local charities, Seamen's continues its community
traditions. Indeed, we have prospered because our idea and philosophy
have always been the same--we continue to be close the communities
we serve.
